Cannabis Farm.

Started by: Billinge Biker (2384)

A charity shop 50 yds from my front door ceased trading about 6 months ago...I watched in amazement yesterday as GMP officers swooped on the shop....a cannabis farm ..hundreds of well established plants taken away...crafty beggars..nobody has seen anybody entering/leaving the property which has only one entrance on the main
road. Someone won't be happy at their loss

When I read about stories like this it doesn't surprise me any more, another sad example of modern society.
Will these "lilly livered"government's EVER get tough on crime?

according to the program, police interceptors, each plant is worth £1000 when mature and sold in £10 bags, So a growth industry and no mistake,
Is't it time they made it legal and cut out the crims ??

All confiscated plants should be donated to a company who could produce cannabis for those people who suffer seizures etc and not pay £1400 per month for authorised similar cannabis drug.

Tomplum, I don't agree with legalising cannabis. People start the drugs road with it then, when they get used to it go onto something stronger and so on until they are drug riddled addicts. I've seen within my own family how much damage can be done to loved ones. I hate drugs with a passion but agree with BB to get some good out of the situation.

Frecky , I take your point but, If it was legalized then it can also be controlled as in Canada where, Shops that supply it can only sell to 19 year olds or over, At the minute I see skool kids smoking it and if you go down the canal banks, you're never very far away from someone smoking weed because, its quiet and no police about,,

Tom, that would be happening in Canada as well , so you are saying no-one under 19 smokes it, c'mon pal.....it can always be found and until some radical ways of stopping the dealers are put in place, but as someone has already said no govt has got the balls.

Of course you're right there, laws will always get broke, whether drinking beer, driving, drugs, shop lifting, that will happen but, when large sums of money are to be made from it, like in cannabis growing, Its only going one way, Its so easy to grow weed and you , Me ,ANYONE young or old can buy the seeds freely in shops ,in the street, online even on ebay and the retailer is not breaking any rules, Growing is illegal and selling the plant is illegal so why is it ok to buy the seeds??? They need to sort it and quick,,

Since it was legalized here I very rarely pick up on that horrible stench. I am told the cannabis shops are like a toffee shop with all the different flavours.

Can anyone give me a good reason why cannabis should still be illegal in 2023?

Apparently the powers that be insist cannabis is a stepping stone for harder drug use....load ,,'O' shite....I know several users who have been on it donkeys....they can't drink in any sort of volume so the odd joint lets them achieve a slight high....and not crave to stick a needle in their arm.

It will never be stopped, the growers are making too mutch of a good living out or it and there are not enough police to stop it,it,s out of controll,

I can be sent home from Spain, and banned from returning, if I overstay my 90 days in any 180.
That's after paying their taxes and spending money there over for the last 16 years or so.
